KHL announces the KHL Championship 2018-19 schedule

The KHL announced the KHL Championship 2018-19 schedule on July 5.

The team opens the season against the CSKA Moscow on home ice on Sunday, September 2.

Then Traktor will have 7 home ice games and road games in Magnitogorsk, Helsinki, Moscow and Sochi.

In October and December the team will have 7 road games in each month. Furthermore, in October there will be the most difficult road games in the Far East.

New Year’s Eve holiday will be full of hockey events, Traktor will have 3 games. The last home game of the year will be against Kunlun Red Star on December 30.

On the 17th of January Chelyabinsk region celebrates its 85th anniversary and it is taken into consideration within the new schedule. The same day 10 years ago Traktor Ice Arena held its first game.

There are also three 6-days breaks for the different Euro Hockey Tour stages in November, December and February.

There are also interesting dates and events on the list.

September 7 –  Lokomotiv Memorial Day. It will be a game day for the first time since the tragedy.  

October 26 and 28 – Slovan Bratislava faces CSKA Moscow and SKA Saint Petersburg in Vienna.

November 8-11 – IIHF break for the Euro Hockey Tour stage in Finland. Karjala Cup.

November 26 and 28 – Dinamo Riga plays against CSKA Moscow and SKA Saint Petersburg in Zurich.

December 13-16 –  IIHF break for the Euro Hockey Tour stage in Russia. Channel One Cup.

January 18-20 –KHL All-Star Game in Kazan

February 22 – KHL regular season ends
